a mixed doll
Born during the colonial time, the Clonette is the first doll to be manufactured in Africa. Beloved as a toy by African children, she is discovered in 1998 by Delphine Kohler, who gives her her name and makes her become a decorative item.
From the beginning, she is available in numerous colors, but Delphine creates the black version of the doll in 2006. This black doll is the only one to be made from recycled plastic.
supporting children and students scholarship in Burkina Faso
For each Clonette sold by Facteur Céleste, 1€ funds children and students scholarship in Burkina Faso through the association Filles du Facteur.
All over the world, as in Burkina, basic education is a fundamental right for children. Nevertheless, it is difficult for some families to pay for registration fees, books and uniforms ; in Burkina Faso, only 1 boy out of 2, and less than 1 girl out of 2 goes to primary school. 12% continue to study in secondary schools.
In the framework of this project, we fund scholarship for the children of the most vulnerable women
